A dilapidated jet train back in 1983

Designed and built in the Kalininsky carriage building factory around 1970. The SVL was based on the ER22 train model. Engineers at Kalininsky attached two engines, from a Yak-40 passenger jet, to the front roof of the train. The SVL never went into mass production, but the one SVL that was built reached almost 180 mph during testing.

    Thanks blogging community, I always find it interesting what you get when you just follow the link of people leaving a comment on your blog. The russian jet train.
    Looks like they used the engines from some old aeroflaut planes.
