Worlds Largest Swimming Pool

The South American resort of San Alfonso del Mar in Chile has been acknowledged by Guinness World Records as having the world’s largest swimming pool. The salt water pool is 1km long, covering 19 acres, and is 35m deep at its deepest point. It is the equivalent of 6,000 standard domestic pools. Even though the pool is located next to the ocean, the waters off of Chile are not very inviting. The waters are very cold along with a strong current and undertow.
