Taken on August 28th, 1884 about 22 miles Southwest of Howard, South Dakota in the United States, this is the world’s oldest known photograph of a tornado.

first-3-miliseconds-atomic-bomb

The first three milliseconds of an atomic bomb explosion was photographed by Harold Edgerton. Harold built a special 10 foot long lense for his camera so that he could get these night time photographs from a bunker 7 miles away.
