<p>The worlds first photo was taken by Joseph Niepce in France in 1826. It took an exposure time of 8 hours and is on an 8&#8243;x 6.5&#8243; pewter plate. The photo has been on <a href="http://surferjerry.com/business/advantages-of-roll-up-displays/">display</a> at the University of Texas since 1964. </p>

<p>The above photo taken by Louis Ducos du Hauron in 1872 is said to be the worlds first color photograph. The photo is of a view of Angouleme in Southern France.</p>
