When you create a friends list, you add friends to that list and click the green/gray colored button to switch between appearing online and offline to them.  With lists, you can be invisible to entire groups of friends if you wish.

You can also create lists from the Friends item on your main Facebook page from the Edit Friends button. These lists are also handy when you want to share posts with specific people or exclude them from seeing it.

Word of warning

If you decide to go invisible to some friends but remain available to others, make sure the latter understand that you do not want the rest to know what you are on Facebook. Nothing hurts like knowing someone has blocked you from seeing them online, so avoid this scenario – unless of course, you couldn’t care less if it happens.

Well this is a first. I have seen a ton of huge snowmen over the years but never the worlds smallest snowman. Check this thing out! A scientist at the National Physical Laboratory in West London created this little guy.

Measuring just 0.01 mm across, or about 1/5th the width of a human hair. This snowman was created from two tin beads, normally used to calibrate electron microscopes, and welded together with platinum. To create the face on this snowman a focused ion beam was used to mill the eyes and smile. The nose, just under 1 µm wide (or 0.001 mm), and is platinum deposited by an ion beam.

This bizarre contraption called the Dracone Barge was first designed by Professor William Hawthorne in 1956 at Cambridge University. It was originally designed as a new type of oil tanker and was used exclusively by the United States military for transporting large quantities of fuel and water across the oceans.

The Dracone Barge comes in many sizes the largest being 300 feet long with a 15 foot diameter. Since its initial design the Dracone Barge has been used for not only carrying fuel and water but also is used as a barrier for protecting United States Ships while in foreign ports and as containment barrier for oil spills and contaminated water.

I saw this mobile phone mod and thought it was a bit unusual. I don’t know why someone would do this other than because they could. Kind of neat though.
